Winnie the Pooh LIVE

Jonah got tickets to Winnie the Pooh LIVE for his birthday from Cwiff and Beppa. We have been looking forward to going since early June when Beppa told me about it. So, last Saturday, we loaded up and headed to Vicksburg to see Pooh and his friends.
Before the show started, we purchased the large bag of cotton candy that came with a Pooh hat. Jonah was not sure about wearing the hat but, as you can see, Dan and Sue had no issue with it. Sue got to experience this with us, thanks to Cliff and Debra. If there were a remedial class about cartoon characters, Sue would need to be in that class. She knows zero characters and they felt sorry for her grandchild that will be here soon. So, they sent her to see Pooh with us to help bring her up to speed. Eli will be sure to thank them one day!

If you have kids, you know that every kids event has tons of stuff available for purchase. We made the decision back at DisneyWorld when he was 9 months old to find something that is "our thing" to get when we go to stuff like this. We decided it would be the spinning/light-up toys. We now have them from Disney (one from each trip), the circus, a trip to the Memphis Disney Store and Winnie the Pooh.
We were very happy to discover our seats were right next to the Hargon Family. What are the odds of that? We both drive in from Natchez/Vidalia and end up with seats next to each other. So random! But, so cool! This was them standing up dancing when Pooh invited all of us to dance with him.
As you can see by the look on Jonah's face, he was very excited to see all of his friends in The Hundred Acre Wood!

I have no idea what was going on in the next picture but it totally cracked me up. Whatever my boys were thinking about was not pleasant. Dan thinks it had something to do with the cotton candy being sticky.
Apparently all was well again because Jonah, Dan and Diane's dad all look enthralled with the show.

It started snowing during the show and that was really cool. We could all catch it and hold it in our hands. Very neat!

When Tigger came out, we all got to bounce around just like him. Jonah and I enjoyed that activity. Although, I must admit, it is much easier to jump around like Tigger when you are not holding a 35 pound toddler!

During intermission, Jonah played with his new toy then went out to do a little shopping. Fortunately, he was happy with his spinning toy and didn't seem to want anything else.

We were able to get a quick picture of Jonah and Marlie in front of the stage. There was a not-so-nice security guard hovering over us.
Somehow, these pictures got way out of order but I wanted you to see the snow that landed on Jonah's head. The picture after that shows Dan and Jonah catching the snow.

There was a point in the show where confetti started falling. At this time, Jonah was eating Goldfish and got very upset that the confetti got in his bowl. Sue worked quickly to rid the bowl of any confetti remnants while I laughed! (Don't would have laughed too! Every kid there was amazed by the confetti while Jonah had a meltdown because it got on his fish!)

It was a wonderful day! I love experiencing things like this with my little boy. I know there are tons of things we could have done on a Saturday but there was no where else I would have rather been!

Was Pooh better than Elmo? Just wondering since it was Disney afterall!! ;) (We've seen Elmo, but not Pooh.)
