He still wakes up every morning and stays in his bed until we go in to get him. I think that is awesome! It shows great discipline on his part! As soon as we open his door, he says "can I get up?" I'm sure sitting there staring at the toys is a huge temptation for him. Dan said we needed to tell him to ALWAYS get up and play in the morning so we can sleep a little longer.
Speaking of sleep...that is one part of this transition that we don't like! We used to put him down between 8 and 8:30 every night. He would sleep until about 6:30 a.m. then wake up for a cup of milk. He would then sleep until about 8:30 a.m. So, he was getting a good 12 hours every night. Since he has been in the toddler bed, he goes down at the same time but is ready to get up at 7:00 a.m.! Yeeks! That is 1.5 hours less sleep a night!
