Natalie turns 3

Once again, I am posting out of order but these pictures were ready to blog so I am going with it.  I wanted you to see these first couple of pictures so you would understand what we are dealing with these days.  My boy is teething.  He has 4 molars coming in and his hands stay in his mouth.  Poor guy!

Jonah's birthday was a little different this year.  Last year was all about him from the time he woke up until the time he went to bed.  This year was a very busy day.  It started with church that morning an ended around 7 that night.  Fortunately, he got a great nap before Natalie's party.

We stopped long enough after arriving at the party to snap a few pictures with our birthday boy.  This mommy and daddy are so blessed to have this 2 year old in our lives.  We are so thankful to God for the gift of Jonah.

Jonah wasn't too sure about posing for a picture with Natalie and her Poppa.  This picture was taken right after arriving at the party and Jonah had not seen the sombreros yet.  I think they somewhat intimidated him.

Jonah had his first experience with a pinata.  He loved it.  He thought it was great to hit something without getting in trouble.
He was even more thrilled with all of the loot that came out of the pinata.  He was amazed to see the candy that hit the ground.  He quickly scooped it up with the help of his daddy.

Here is Jonah's friend, Natalie.  Over the last year, they have become good buddies.  I was glad they both got to be a part of each others birthday parties.  That was a little difficult for both of us because we had parties to work on.  It looks like we will be sharing birthday weekends for many years to come.  (Well, until Natalie's boyfriend tells her she can't invite other boys to her birthday parties!)

Dan spent a lot of time at the party pushing Jonah in Natalie's red car.  He was quite a fan of that little car.
Natalie's party was a combination fiesta/pool party.  So, after a while, Dan changed Jonah into his swimsuit so he could participate in the cooler, wet activities.
They had an inflatable water slide that the kids LOVED.  Well, all kids except mine.  He was not impressed with the thing.  He stared at it but would not get close to going up there.

We resorted to the pool instead.  Dan got in with Jonah while I took pictures.  (Imagine that?)

If you go back to one of the previous posts, you will see a great picture Jami took of Jonah when he was in the pool.  This is this backside of that picture.  I must have taken this right before or after she got her shot.

After swimming for a while, Dan changed Jonah into some dry clothes and we watched Natalie open her gifts.  Jonah enjoyed a Caprisun while Natalie enjoyed lots of fun things.

After 2.5 hours, it was time to beat the heat and head for home.  We loaded up our little chico and headed to the car.  He was exhausted and so were we!

But, as we were getting in the car, I noticed the horses were right at the fence.  I pointed them out to Dan and off they went.  We couldn't let an opportunity to be that close to a horse pass us by.
