So special!!!

Our church has "Power Praying" on Sunday mornings before Sunday School. It is a time to come together, spread out over the Sanctuary and ask God to move in our services. It is a really neat time because people cover the pews and pray specifically for the people who are going to be sitting there.

In the past, I never attended because it was all I could do to get Jonah fed, dressed and out the door in time for Sunday School. I started teaching a new Sunday School class in March and made the decision to start going to prayer time with Dan. So, we all load up and head out the door by 8:30 a.m. each Sunday. We made the decision to take Jonah with us and let him pray too. We know his attention span is about 7 seconds but you've gotta start somewhere, right?

We always move to the back row and pray together with Jonah then I whisk him out so Dan can pray more specifically. Today, I was a few steps behind them as Jonah knelt down by the back pew. Dan knelt next to him and my heart just melted. I've been a part of praying with them a lot but just seeing that moment was so special. For so long, we prayed FOR this child...now we have the opportunity to pray WITH this child.

That is the sweetest thing I've ever seen...a photo to be treasured forever! Jonah is one special little boy with pretty great parents.
