Meanwhile, back in December...

There was a Sunday in December that our children's choir sang in the services.  It was so sweet and they did so good.  And, it was on this day that we realized Jonah is quite the performer.  Micah came in to watch his "brover Jonah!"
Since the sang in both services, he stood in a different place each time.  He sang out in the first service and do well.  But, in the second service, dude threw his leg out and did some straight up dancing.  I was blown away.  Who knew he had it in him?

And, in both services, the Personnel Committee presented Dan with some gifts in advance of his graduation that was happening the next weekend.  We were both certainly surprised in the first service.  There were such sweet words said to us.  It was very kind.

The second service came and Jonah came right out of his shell.  I wish you all could have seen it.

At that time, Betty Teramo was chair of the Personnel Committee.  She is the one who made the presentations that day.  It also happened to be her last Sunday at our church.  She was moving 3 hours away.  We were so sad and still miss them so much!

As you can see, it was a long Sunday for these two.  They look rough by the end of that day.

Final Cruise Post

When we docked in Nassau, we were next to one of the Disney cruise ships.  That is definitely a vacation we want to take with the kids soon.  Our boys LOVE all things Disney so I really want to capitalize on that vacation before Jonah is too cool for it.  We walked around Nassau for a bit before deciding to take a Horse & Carriage tour of the city.  Jimmy negotiated a great deal for all of us.

Unfortunately, about five minutes out, the bottom fell out of the sky and we were in a MONSOON!  I'm sure I have been in rain like that before but I've always been protected from it.  We were right in the midst of it that day.  We were soaked.  It was terrible.  I was actually scared we would be struck by lightning.  It was hard, blowing rain coupled with thunder and lightning.  It was one of the worst experiences of my life.  We asked them to cut the 3 hour tour short and after 15 minutes, we were right back where we started.

We got back to our room to change clothes and realized we were on TV.  They had interviewed us the night before and there we were.  The kids thought it was awesome to see us on TV!

Due to the rain, our day in Nassau was basically a bust but we did get a good view of the Atlantis on our way out.

Our kids loved the endless food.  Regardless of what was offered, they kept going back for more yogurt, fruit, chocolate milk and ice cream.

If you have been on a cruise before, you know about the endless photo opportunities available.  We convinced Jimmy to do one of the crazy couch photos.  We could not quit laughing when we saw it posted.

On this particular night, we paid extra for Jonah to go to a kid's night out at Camp Carnival.  He was so excited about getting to stay out until 1 a.m.  So, before bed, we walked around with Micah before getting ice cream for him.

Oh, and check out this beauty!  This is the cell phone they give you to use in case they need to contact you while your kid is at Camp Carnival.

One of the most relaxing parts of the cruise was the reading time.  It was nice to just sit in the sun and read for a while each day.

On our final morning, we woke up for the day and had to get moving quickly so we could disembark!

We had a leisurely breakfast together before getting ready to get off the boat.

As you can see, Lammy and Dis were exhausted and ready to go home!

And, so were we!!  It was a fun Spring Break trip but we were all ready to be on steady ground again!!
