Dnow Weekend

It is Saturday Night.

Every person in my house is exhausted.

We have been in the midst of DiscipleNow weekend.

Anyone who has ever experienced DNow understands the full reason for our exhaustion.  DiscipleNow is one of the best opportunities in the world to help teenagers draw closer to Jesus.  These weekends take a ton of work from so many people.  Jon and Jessica have done an amazing job leading our church through this event.  It won't be over until tomorrow then we dive right into a SS meeting after church and then Business meeting tomorrow night.

I have lots to blog about.  For instance, Dan and Jonah went flying today.  And, by flying, I mean that Dan literally did the take off and most of the flying.  He was obviously coached by the pilot with them but it was fun for him.  They both loved it.  Oh, and the pool is officially open for 2013.  All the boys have been in.

This week was an especially busy week for Dan.  He has had more meetings and time away from home than he has had in a really long time.  Weeks like this remind me how stressful his job is.  I'm glad he loves what he does because some weeks are a real challenge.  It sure makes me appreciate the time he is here even more.

OK...off to sleep a little before another BUSY day!  Pictures to come!

Happy 1st Birthday to Alice!

A few weeks ago, we got to celebrate the first birthday of one of the cutest and sweetest baby girls EVER!  Alice Wagner turned one in April and we were so happy to join the celebration.  Her mommy did a pretty amazing job with the Ladybug theme.  Even her granddad got in on the decorating!

Rather than gifts, they asked everyone to bring diapers for the local crisis pregnancy center.  Such a great idea!
One of the best parts of the party was going outside to release thousands of ladybugs.  My kids (and my husband!!!!) loved it.

Miss Mandy, one of our favorite babysitters is Alice's nanny.  Those two some kind of love each other!
Micah, Jonah, Miller and Holder were quite thrilled to have the Braswell family there.  Those four kids think Donna and her crew were put on this earth for their enjoyment.  As you can see, Micah loves his "Nonna!"

Keri and Nate had just gotten a new 3D TV so everyone was testing it.  I don't think they typically wear sunglasses while just sitting in their living room.

Oh, these two boys!  At just seven weeks apart, they have spent much of their lives together.  They are big fans of each other.  They are so wild and full of life but also so sweet and cuddly.

When it was time to go, Alice went in for a goodbye hug but Micah wasn't so sure about that.  Silly boy...I'm betting he will change his mind on that in the years to come!

Jesus Loves Me with The ABC's

I've been moving pictures to our Time Machine and being sure they are on Shutterfly so I can free up some space on my hard drive.  Tonight found me in the folder entitled "November, 2010."  That is the month Micah was born.  So, I've been reminiscing tonight.  And, I came across this little gem of a video that I had never uploaded.  I can hardly believe how little Jonah was.  He seemed so big at 4 years old.

Super Heroes at the Park

My boys L.O.V.E. all things Super Hero.  Jonah didn't really know who any of them were until he was 3 or 4 but since Micah has a big brother, he clued in pretty quickly.  They play Super Heroes all the time.  So, seeing them in these clothes made me just giddy!  And, might I add, we got more compliments on these clothes than any other thing they have ever worn.  On this day, we had an ENT appointment, haircuts, lunch and the playground.  Numerous people stopped us to talk about them.  So, so, so cute!

Their NeNe and Pops sent these directly from Mistletoe Marketplace and I've been waiting for them to fit.  Even the boys loved them!  And, what better place to be super heroes than at the park for a family fun day!

And, in case you haven't seen it, Micah likes to show his muscles.  Doesn't he look strong?

Jonah took these pictures.  He was a pretty good ways away from us and standing on the slide.  He has obviously not learned the art of zooming out!
