One day back in May, we checked Jonah out of school early and spent the rest of the day at Sea World. It was in the midst of a (what seems the norm now) crazy time for Dan. He was missing his family and we were all certainly missing him. So, we shirked our responsibilities for the day and had a little family fun instead.
When the boys saw us with our sunglasses, they had to have their own. Fortunately, Jimmy and Cathy bought Jonah a pair when they were here and we found an old pair of Jonah's for Micah. They were set for the day.
Sea World has this crazy contraption in their kid's area that is full of ropes/nets/crawling. Dan and the boys went up there and stayed a really long time. There are still things that I can't do because of my surgery. Sometimes that really bothers me. This was not one of those times. I happily stayed down below.
Our last stop before leaving was Turtle Trek. It was fairly late in the day and there weren't many people in sight. So, the boys had a little free reign. Jonah was skipping along and tripped over a pole and fell hitting both knees. Dan and I both saw it happen. I heard his knees hit the concrete. It was bad. We felt terrible for him. The worker saw it happened and immediately called the paramedics. We waited in a nearby gazebo for them to arrive.
Another worker ran to a nearby place and grabbed ice for his knees. Micah promptly began to eat the ice. (He is nothing but supportive!)
After ice, band-aids and a little TLC, he was good to go.
