Last week, I was in our neighbor's back yard with my boys and Rylan Carlos. (Yes, I have permission to be in their yard!) I was pushing Micah in his swing when Jonah asked if he could do it instead. Micah LOVED it. And, I loved hearing Jonah say "Watch out for Micah!!!" in his best protective voice. Such a good big brother!

When Dan was a little boy, he had a special friend named Dadoo. Dan's mom kept Dadoo and passed him on to Dan a few years ago. He has been on a shelf in Dan's office for all that time. Micah always finds Dadoo and carries him around when we are at the church office visiting Dan. I always send the pictures to Dan's mom and she quickly responds with sweet memories about Dan and that little stuffed animal.
It is hard to imagine that one day, my future daughter in law might send me pictures (or holograms or whatever exists then!?!?) of Jonah's baby holding Lammy or Micah's baby holding Froggy.

We have been blessed to have so many former church members and friends visit us since our move to Central Florida. Some people think it is all about a certain mouse but I happen to know it is more about a certain boy. Jonah's relationship with many of those Vidalia people is so very special and they have remained involved in his life in the almost three years that we have been here. So, he was super excited to welcome Clare and Tammy, or Uncle Clare and Mammy, as Jonah calls them to town.
They got to town on a Thursday night just a couple of hours before Jonah's bedtime. So, we had dinner with them, read some stories and then they got to put him to bed. He was so excited about doing the bedtime routine with them. And, they were certainly happy to do it.
The next day, we got Jonah from school a little early and then all headed down to Epcot for the rest of the day. Dan had a funeral to do so he met us later in the day. We were glad to experience the Flower festival with them. They know about and love flowers more than anyone else we know.
Micah, as you can see, just LOVED being in his stroller all day. From the moment that kid started walking, that is all he wants to do. Unless, of course, he isn't running!
We battled heat and rain but had a great day. It was a late night but not late enough to keep us from getting up early the next morning to explore the beaches along the Atlantic coast. It was too cold and windy to make it a true beach day but we had fun anyway.
It was a wonderful time with them until it was time for them to leave. Jonah was devastated. He cried and cried and cried and cried. Like, uncontrollable sobs.
And, if you don't believe me about how upset he gets, just watch these two videos. Oh my word!
