Micah's Monthly Update- Month Five

My sweet little boy is five months old today. I find that hard to believe. I love that he is learning new things and growing by the day but I'm so sad that the newborn is gone. I have LOVED ever moment of this little guy's life. He has been a sheer blessing to us. He is the happiest baby I've ever seen.

  • Spitting (Thanks a lot, Ms. Dottie!!!) It is sometimes so difficult to feed him because he loves his new found ability to blow raspberries. He especially likes to do this while you feed him. We've told Ms. Dottie she can't babysit anymore if she teaches him things like this.
  • The exersaucer
  • His play mat
  • Jonah (any time, any where, any how) This baby boy loves his big brother!!
  • Hands in his mouth
  • Jumping
  • Eating (there isn't a food he doesn't like)
  • Being tickled
  • His moose

  • Sleeping on his back
  • Not getting the spoon in his mouth fast enough
  • Loud Noises
  • Wind

  • First Fruit- bananas
  • First Veggie- squash
  • Found his feet
  • First tooth poked through
  • Met Doctor Russ, Kurt, Chandler and Annie
  • First Visit to Epcot
  • Met Zoo-Zoo
  • First Visit to Orlando Science Center

Tea at Two

In less than two hours, the huge event at Stetson Baptist Church will be underway. I'll be back later today with pictures from the event. The tables are AMAZING! I can't wait for you to see!

Another neighborhood critter

It appears that we live in the country...except we don't! Our neighborhood is full of the most random creatures. A few weeks ago, I was feeding Micah in his room while Dan and Jonah were working in the front yard. As I walked out of Micah's room, I met a frantic Dan saying "DO NOT OPEN THE GARAGE!" He went on to explain there was a rabid raccoon out there. Freaked out much? YEP!!!

I walked outside to see most of my neighbors out watching every step this thing made. The majority of us have children and pets so we were very concerned. As you can see below, we had reason to be concerned.
It ended up being a great night of neighborhood fellowship. We were all out there with our kids and stayed out there for over a couple of hours until the Police arrived. (Yeah, we called Animal Control but they sent an officer!?!?)

The boy who is growing faster than his mommy wants him to grow!

What kind of club?

"Mommy, Wyatt started a butt club. I didn't be part of it though. Then I saw all the books and now I know he has a book club, not a butt club!"

Barnes & Noble

One afternoon, I loaded the boys up and headed to Barnes & Noble for a few hours. Jonah had a blast playing the Thomas the Train table and Micah enjoyed some one on one time with me while we watched Jonah. I read him books, fed him and laughed with him for hours. Jonah came over every 3-4 minutes and kissed him or me. He loved being there and playing with the train table and reading new books. I just enjoyed the time with my sweet boys!
