Some of you long time blog readers might remember Jonah's first haircut. He was 9 months old and we happened to be at DisneyWorld on vacation. So, his first haircut got to be at the Barber Shop in the Magic Kingdom. Click HERE to read about that. Well, Micah couldn't be outdone by his big brother, so he had to have his first haircut at the Magic Kingdom.
Personally, I had no problem with the length of his hair. But, numerous times a day, Dan commented on his need for a haircut. He hates for their hair to be over their ears. I figure I would concede in the haircut argument before he brought up smocked clothes and jon-jons. :-)
The stylist decided to entertain Micah with stickers before starting the cut. We then spent the rest of the haircut trying to fish them out of his mouth.
Being there brought back so many memories of Jonah at this age. He sat in the exact same chair. He played with the same Mickey Mouse toy.
He really did so good during the entire haircut. He laughed, giggled, watched, played and blew raspberries. I think he kind of liked the pampering.
When we first heard about this for Jonah, I figured it would be super expensive. As you know, nothing at Disney is cheap. I was shocked to discover it was only $16 back in 2007. You get the embroidered ears at part of the package so considering they are $12, I figured that was a great deal. Here we are four years later and the price had gone up only $2. So, we got a great haircut, embroidered ears, pixie dust and an overall magical experience for $18. That's a pretty good deal if you ask me! :-)
