Where are we?

I've gotten a couple of SOS emails to make sure we are still alive and kicking. I don't think I've ever gone so long without blogging. I put up a quick Way Back WHENsday post but haven't done anything since. Doug, Allison and their girls were here last weekend. I never touched my camera until the night before they left. Even then, I only got a couple of videos and a few pictures. See, that should prove to you that I have not been myself. :-)

My goal this week is to get back on track. Not just with taking pictures and blogging but with normal life. Our BFF's from seminary will be at Disney all week so I'll see them for sure. Then, on Wednesday, Dan's mom and grandmother fly in for a week. I'm super excited about visiting with old friends and family this next week all the while taking pictures so I can blog about it! :-)

Way back WHENsday

3 years ago today, we spent the day at Chuck E. Cheese for Jonah's half birthday. He turned 6 months old and I wanted to celebrate that so we headed to see the mouse.

I'm so in love with this little 3.5 year old that God has given us. I'm on the couch today since I don't feel well and he comes over every 10-15 minutes just to kiss me on the cheek and tell me he loves me. Such a precious little boy!

Caring little boy

I started feeling bad Wednesday. By Friday night, I felt pretty yucky. I hated to be sick because Doug and his family were coming in from South Carolina late that night. I wanted to be well to have fun and play with those sweet girls of his. (5, 2.5 & 14 months old) They got here around 2:00 a.m. Saturday morning. As the day wore on yesterday, I felt worse and worse. I went to bed at 7:45 p.m.

They left our house around 7:15 this morning headed to Disney. I got up to see them but stood up and felt bad so I got right back in the bed. I've been here all day. I (according to Facebook) missed an incredible morning at church. I hate missing church and missing what God does there. Dan just left to go back for the evening service and the goodbye reception for The Orr Family. He left Jonah here watching a movie.

Just a few minutes after Dan left, Jonah marches in our room and crawls up on the bed from the end. He says "I'm here to make you feel better!" I told him I was fine but he should probably go back and watch his movie so he didn't get sick too. He said "It's okay if I get sick. I just want to sit with you for a few minutes!"

Seriously, how sweet is he? I love being his mommy!
