Playground Video

Not being in preschool this summer has hindered Jonah's understanding of the importance of taking turns, sharing and being a nice friend. It seems he would rather walk away than share! Oh, we have work to do !!!

FBCV Reception

Us with Natalie

Jami sent me pictures of our last Sunday with Natalie? How precious is she?? Jami has become a dear friend to me and will be missed tons! She wrote a very sweet post about our family that you can read here.

Veggie Tales Duet!

Florida...The Sunshine State????

Notice anything odd about the picture above this text? We entered the state of Florida sometime before noon today and have yet to see the sun. It has rained NONSTOP! I was super excited about getting a cute picture of Jonah in front of the welcome sign. I never expected to have him hold an umbrella for that picture!

Day with the Hargons

We traveled 5 hours to Foley, AL only to meet up with our good friends, The Hargons at Lambert's Cafe. They were on their family vacation at the beach and it just so happened we would be there at the same time. We met for lunch then spent the rest of the day together. If you know about Lambert's, then you know it is the home of the "throwed roll!" Here is Jonah waiting to catch his first roll.
Marlie was standing up so she could get the next one. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this family. They have become such dear friends to us. Marlie and Jonah have been in school together since the toddler class at Jefferson Street.

Little Hannah came along last September 14th and has had a special place in my heart since that day. When she was a teenie tiny baby, she was a crier. I mean a serious screamer/crier! I could always calm her. We kept her for the first time when she was just a couple of weeks old so her mom and dad could go to dinner. Now, she is a year old and oh so fun!

One of the hardest things about what we do is leaving behind good friends. Josh and Diane are two of those friends. We've cried together, laughed together, made fun of each other, kept each others kids and just done life together. Moving on is hard when you leave people like them behind! And, to see our two kiddos love each other is about more than these two mommas can take. We are both sad they won't grow up together.

Jonah wanted no part in swimming with them at their condo. He wanted to "just watch for a minute or five!"

And, he made sure to point out every bug he saw. Then, he had conversations with those bugs about them being "bad!"

When it was time for us to go, Marlie got out of the lazy river to give Jonah a hug. Then, he gave hugs to Diane and Marlie's granny, Ava.

While it is sad to say goodbye, there is a great comfort in knowing real friendship transcends distance.
