Making pizza with zue-zue

Jonah loves to help in the kitchen. He will help cook anytime you give him the opportunity. Sue was over visiting one night and I told her we had the stuff to make a pizza for Jonah. She gladly pulled The Learning Tower in so he could help her. He had an absolute blast making pizza with his zue-zue.

Pray for Mia

My cousin Brandy welcomed her little girl, Mia into the world on December 19th. They have been in the hospital since Wednesday unsure of what might be wrong with her. They finally ruled out several things and settled on Strep B. She has been and is a very sick little girl. So, I wanted to give you a link to her blog so you could see her beautiful little face, pray for her then send her mommy and daddy some love by commenting on their blog. They are tired and exhausted new parents and need all the prayer they can get. So, go look at their blog, pray for them and leave a comment telling them I sent you!! Okay?? Thanks!!! It seems they will be in the hospital for another 2 weeks so keep checking in on them.

Jonah's first boat

Debra just sent me these pictures from her camera. They were taken on December 11. We went down to their house to visit and they gave Jonah an early Christmas gift. He got his very first boat. He was quite thrilled and still plays with it everyday while he watches TV.

Please notice the two people in the boat. That is Cliff and Jonah. You must know that Jonah cried to take Cliff to school with him the next day. He genuinely believes that is Cliff and the little one is him. For a couple of weeks after receiving this, he would come running to me and say "Mommy, I can't find Cliff!" or "Mommy, Me is missing" That was always so odd to hear.

You can tell from these pictures that Cliff and Dan had as much fun with the boat as Jonah did. They played for a long time that night. It was fun to watch my little guy play and interact with two people he loves so much.

Christmas & New Years Celebration in Meridian

Dan's mom's side of the family has their Christmas over the New Year weekend every year. We were able to be part of that this year so we loaded up last Friday (along with Woody and Buzz) and headed to Meridian. Jonah was most excited about seeing Gavin. Next time, I will not tell him about Gavin before a 4 hour drive!!!
Dan's mom gave Jonah his Christmas gift when we got there. That gave the boys something to play with that night. I didn't think to take any toys??? Rookie mom!

Those boys played their little hearts out that night. They ran and jumped and screamed and hid. It was so fun to see them play together. They are so close in age that they are at the same place developmentally so neither of them overpowers the other one. And, it appears that neither of them will ever have any interest in using the potty!!!! :-)
The next morning, I was peeling an orange for Jonah when Gavin decided to show us how he can peel an orange. Not wanting to be outdone, Jonah took his turn peeling an orange. Check out the look on his face!

The weather was nice so we got to go outside for a little while. Those boys would ALWAYS rather be outdoors.

No matter what is going on, TV will always capture them. Curious George was on and they would play a little then stop and watch TV a little.

Granny B gave them their gifts from her and that kept them entertained for a little while. They were both more interested in what the other one got. I guess that starts early in life!!

Jon played blocks with them for a little while. Jonah wanted Jon to build a tower. He was somewhat bossy with his instructions for Jon. At least Jon is a good sport and played along. You could tell the boys were pretty impressed with him.
Dan's mom gave Jonah and Gavin a bank with some "monies" to put in it. This kept them occupied while the adults opened gifts.

We had a good visit with everyone but had to leave around lunch on Saturday to make it back here for some obligations Saturday night. It is a good thing because we went to bed at 8 p.m. and slept 12 hours. I guess we were tired??

Just a few pictures
