See that little boy? He really, really, really makes me laugh!!! I was changing his diaper a few minutes ago and he was singing. Well, let me backtrack for a minute. When we finish at the changing table we always say "STAND UP!" Well, that kind of morphed into singing "Stand up, stand up for Jesus!" One day, out of the blue when we said "Stand Up," he finished the words. But, that is all he knows. So over the past couple of weeks, we have been singing the next line with him. "Ye Soldiers of the Cross." He has never sang along with us on that part. Ok, fast forward back to today.
I finished his diaper and he started singing "Stand up, stand up for Jesus, Ye SHOULDERS...(PAUSE)...Ye shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes. Head and Shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes!
He combined the two songs to create one. Granted, one song that made NO sense but was pretty funny to hear. From Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus to Head and Shoulders is a pretty big jump but very creative. Now, we just need to teach him the difference between SOLDIERS and SHOULDERS!!
