When Dan got home from work on his birthday, we asked Jonah if he wanted to go for a walk. We gave him the option of walking, riding his tricycle or riding in the wagon. He chose the wagon. (lazy bum!) We headed down the street and noticed Vidalia was playing baseball. So, we pulled into Memaw and B's back yard to watch for a while.
While watching the game, Jonah spotted the "yeller tractor" in the field behind the baseball field. So, Dan had to go over to get a better look with him. That thrilled Jonah.
While we were in the backyard, Jonah spotted Cliff pull in to his driveway. He ran full throttle to jump into his arms. They were both very happy to see each other. While they were playing, I asked Belinda if Jonah would ever realize that it isn't normal for your best friends to be adults!! He loves his little friends but he is most at ease around his "big" friends. We are so blessed to have so many people love and invest in him.
When we got home that night, Jonah helped Dan open his birthday gifts and cards from us.
As you can see from the next picture, Dan had a large time doing this. :-) I'm not sure what he was laughing at but apparently, he was having a great time.
Jonah and I spent the weekend and that day telling Dan just how much we love him and how happy we are to have him in our lives. It was fun having a birthday celebration for him with a little boy who adores his daddy. (and a mommy who feels the same!!!)
