A fan of Elmo!!

Jonah has developed a great love of "Melmo!" I bought a new book for him from Amazon.com last week. It came during his afternoon nap. When he woke up, he saw it in his dad's chair and picked it up and started reading. Fortunately, I had my camera next to me and could just pick it up to capture the moment. By the way, he keeps shaking it because Elmo's eys move!

Helping Daddy wash dishes

Jonah is quite the fan of his new Learning Tower. He LOVES to help us do anything in the kitchen. I'm hoping he can cook a complete meal for us by the time he turns 2 years old. Hey...I can dream, right?

After Jonah would rinse (and shake the water off) each piece, he would either place it on the towel or put it in the dishwasher. Unfortunately, he wasn't a very good loader of the dishwasher. We still have a little work to do on that. Be sure to watch the video at the end of this post if you need a good laugh!

Tool Man

Jonah has developed a great love of "helping" me in the kitchen. He likes to cook, clean, wipe, watch, etc. I have been letting him stand in a chair next to me but I can't concentrate on what I am doing because I'm afraid he will fall off the chair onto the tile floor. I love the fact that he likes to help but I want him to be safe while helping.

I have been thinking about Ella & Amelia's gift from Granddaddy and Granny for Christmas. They got a LEARNING TOWER. They asked if Jonah wanted one but he was not at all into the kitchen activities at that point. So, we went with his train set instead. Since that time, he has developed quite a love for "helping!" So, I went online and ordered one for Jonah. It was delivered last Wednesday. Jonah helped daddy put it together after church. He was WAY into helping.

Uncle Scott gave me an Oreo Cookie. I've never had one of those before. I'm putting it on my list of things I want to do again. It was YUMMY!!!

The right sock and shoe

Last week when I did the post about 5 things you may not know about each of us, you were informed of Jonah's habit of taking off his right sock and shoe ALL THE TIME! I captured a few shots of that on Saturday. It doesn't matter if he is asleep, awake, eating, or playing...that right foot is going to be bare!!!

A fun day with Hannah

I spent the whole day with Uncle Scott, Aunt Emily and Hannah. We had SO MUCH fun. I played my little heart out. Hannah is absolutely smitten with me. She is going to be worn out when she leaves because she has played with me SO MUCH.

After playing outside, we had to get dressed and head out for our portrait appointment. Mom took these when we got back home. Her camera was on the wrong setting and she had no idea most of her pictures were blurry until she uploaded them. She took lots at the flower field but most of those were blurry too. I guess she will learn to check her settings before taking pictures.

PICTURES!!!

My cousin Hannah is in town and we had our pictures made today. The last time we had a professional picture made was in October of 2006. I was less than three months old then. You can look at those pictures by clicking here. When my mom found out that Hannah would be here this week, she called Jami Ainsworth to see if she had any availability. She was booked but worked us in. That's pretty nice, huh? She brought my friend Natalie to our appointment. I was very happy to see her. She was even in some pictures with me. We haven't seen any of Mrs. Jami's pictures yet but here are a few pictures that my mom took with her camera. Mom didn't try to get any of us smiling or posing because she knew Ms. Jami would get those. She just wanted a few of us out in the field of flowers while the pictures were being taken. Here is Natalie...isn't she beautiful??

Hannah kept me and Natalie entertained while Ms. Jami got everything ready. She gave us lots of high fives.

My mom and Aunt Emily really like the next picture. She said if she likes this one so much then she bets Mrs. Jami's pictures are incredible. I will show them to you when I get them.

I thought you'd like to see this video from last week. Jonah was quite tickled with his daddy and the ball made out of paper towel. Be sure to notice Jonah saying "air ball" at one point. He does repeat most everything these days. Oh, and just so you know, every ball he sees is now an air ball!
