The last day of Preschool

Today was Jonah's last day of preschool for this year. Yeah, I cried! Yeah, I need help! I didn't cry because it was over. I cried because I thought back to the day he toddled into Jefferson Street Preschool. He seemed like such a baby to me then. My meltdown came while I was at work. I realized that 9 months had passed and he was no longer a baby but a little boy. I love all the new things he is doing and how his vocabulary is expanding and how much fun he is. But, I miss the baby days. I guess it is good that two of my best friends here in Vidalia are both having babies this year. Diane is due in September and Amanda is due in November. Anyway...

Since today was the last day of school, I left my camera with Mrs. Audley and Mrs. Shannon so they could take a few pictures. They attempted to get a group shot but after 3 attempts realized a good shot might be impossible!

I got there early enough to see the kids finish their lunch. They had a special meal from Dairy Queen today.

I picked up Marlie today because Diane had another appointment. I guess it was fitting for them to leave preschool together since they walked into that building together 9 months ago. Yeah, that made me cry too! I'm such a sap today! Can you imagine the day he graduates from high school????

If it makes you feel any better, ironically... when I saw your video last night of Jonah doing all those animal moves, my thought was, "He's a baby!!!" :) ha! I guess he looked more grown up to me in still pictures than he did in that video -- and I was so excited to see how babylike he still is, because he's almost a year older than our babies!! :) So babyhood does live on!! And I still call Kevin my baby & he still is one too. ;)

And I can totally relate to the crying after preschool!!!!

i can SO relate to the class picture thing...it's just as hard to get THIRD graders to get a class picture, much less preschoolers! They did a pretty good job though! =) How ironic is it that in the first one only Jonah is turned around and he is the one that is USED to have having his picture taken?? =) Too funny and CUTE! =) I will say though that Jonah gets cuter and cuter everyday (which seems IMPOSSIBLE because he is so cute to begin with!) despite how "big" he is getting! =)
