Dressed for the pool!

I was all dressed and ready for the pool when daddy got a phone call. So, we had to sit and wait. Do you know how hard it is to wait? Man...that stinks! I was pretty content to be all dressed and ready and didn't even really mind the hat.
Well...for a little while anyway! When I wanted it off, I wanted it off...THEN!!! The crazy thing was somehow around my neck and I couldn't get it off. It made me really angry!
But, once I was outside, it was all smiles again!

Whole Milk & Cinnamon Rolls

I tried whole milk and I liked it! So, the transition from formula to milk might not be so bad. AND, I even drank it out of a sippy cup. My mom and dad were so proud of me. They clapped and cheered so much that it goobed me out. Geez...they are so over the top about every new milestone. It gets kind of embarrassing! I really dread the first day of school. I am totally taking the bus and hoping they don't know the official start date!

I also got to try a cinnamon roll. I am quite a fan of those things. Mommy shared hers with me. I don't think she realized how much I would eat. Otherwise, she probably would not have shared with me.

Who needs a sippy cup???

My mom forgot to tell me about these pictures. She took them last Saturday at Corky's on our way home from Ruston. Most of you know that I'm not a real fan of the sippy cup. Well, I tried with all my might to drink some of their water. They kept putting it in a sippy cup for me and I refused to drink it that way. All I wanted was to drink from their glass.

They held the glass for me at first but that wasn't good enough for me. I took a few sips but still was not completely satisfied.

Then, for no reason, mom sat the glass in front of me. They were still cautious but let me hold it myself.

COMPLETE SUCCESS!!! It was a really big glass but I managed to hold it and drink from it myself! I'm so proud of me!!!

My LAST first holiday!

Yep, you read it right! This is my very last holiday to experience for the first time. Oh well...I guess we all have to grow up sometime. I'm okay with that but my mom is a whole different story.

This was another "sick" holiday for me. Monday, I developed a fever but no other symptoms. I went to see Dr. Russ on Tuesday because I still had a high fever. Well, I've been alternating Tylenol and Motrin every 3 hours and still have fever. Do you feel sorry for me yet? Our original plans for Independence Day included a barbecue, time at the pool and then fireworks at the riverfront. Instead, I had a makeshift fireworks show by daddy in the middle of the day while it was drizzling rain. Whooo-hooooo!

The first picture isn't blurry, it's just that my mom's camera fogged up when we left the air conditioned house and stepped into the Louisiana humidity.

Pam Higgins brought me some fun fireworks from her and the Donald's. Here is my daddy showing me a sparkler. I wanted to hold it but apparently babies can't play with fire!
They let me hold sparklers but didn't light them. I think I would have been fine if they had lit them but they are somewhat over-protective.

There was one specific firework that was supposed to be very pretty but not make any popping noises. Daddy wanted me to see it before going inside. I was pretty entranced by it!

Well, that is until it started making really loud noises. It started popping and scared me to death!!! Mommy blamed daddy for scaring me but he didn't know it was going to make noise! Isn't this pitiful? I already felt bad but this made it worse!!!

Since nothing could console me, daddy pulled out the guitar! I immediately quit whining/crying and listened to him sing for quite a while.

Annual Church Picnic

This afternoon, I went to the annual FBC, Vidalia picnic. My Mimi bought me an outfit to wear. It even had a visor that went with it. I have never worn a visor but Uncle Tim always wears one and I wanted to be like him. Would you belive he had a visor on tonight when he got there?

See, I told you? His visor was purple and gold but mine was all American. I must love our country more than him.
My dad had a bottle of water when I got there. I sure was glad to see him holding that water because I was thirsty. He had been there since 3 p.m. but I didn't go until 4:30 because I was taking a nap. Mommy took a nap too! She always uses me as an excuse for Sunday afternoon naps but rumor has it that she took LONG naps before I was ever even thought of!

Mommy bounced me on her legs and I thought that was SUPER funny! I cackled outloud over and over! Aunt Debra caught me laughing with my mom's camera.

Caroline was in her stroller at the end of the picnic so I went over to say hi! We had a brief little coversation but I can't tell you what it was about. Some things are meant to be private.
