My new swing

Remember me telling you about the swing NeNe gave me? Well, here it is!!! Whoo-hooo! I love this thing. My daddy put it up late yesterday while I was napping. When I got up this morning, we all went outside so I could swing. Max played so hard while we were outside. He got very dirty so he got a bath when we came inside. I don't think he likes baths as much as I do.

EARLY MORNING FOR ME!

Whew! I got up 2 hours earlier than usual this morning. We had to leave our house 30 minutes before the time I usually wake up. Mommy got me up then put me in the bathtub. After my bath, daddy fed me while mommy loaded the car. Then, out of nowhere, guess who was at my house? NeNe and her sister, Dianne!! I've never had company at 7:00 in the morning!!!

I thought they came to see me but I later found out that they were driving through and had plans to meet my mom for breakfast at Shoney's at 7:00 a.m. BUT, since we had to go to Jackson, they picked up McDonald's and came here to see me instead.

NeNe brought me a swing, an outfit, some bath toys and 3 new monogrammed bibs. If you look at the picture below, you can tell that one of the bibs is purple and gold. She is a crazy LSU fan like most of the people at our church. That bib says "NeNe loves me!"

We all left the house around 7:45 headed opposite directions. We went straight to Dr. Harrison's office. He was a very nice doctor. He even told my parents that I was very well behaved. Most babies don't sit and let someone probe on them like I did. I've had lots of practice with that lately. He told them they should definitely keep me! (Yeah, like that was EVER in question!!!)

My surgery is scheduled for 6:30 a.m. on Monday. I hope my mom and dad can wake up that early to get me there. It is going to be a long day Monday but everyone says it will be worth it. I sure hope so!!!

After seeing Dr. Harrison, we went to my Mimi's office at the hospital. I stayed with her while my mom and dad went to see my Granny Simmons. She has been in the hospital since Monday with Double Pneumonia. She had a biopsy done today of some spots they found on her lungs. We are all pretty concerned about that. I bet she would have felt better if she got to see me!

We left the hospital and went to "Up The Creek" for lunch. They had a fish tank there that I was very impressed with. I was such a good boy during lunch. I ate all of my food and some of my mom's. There was a lady there with her 6 week old daughter. Mommy saw her in the bathroom when she went to change me. She told mommy that I was the cutest, most well behaved baby boy she had ever seen. I think she was hitting on me for her daughter! Sorry, ladies...I'm taken!

Waiting for the Easter Bunny!

After my appointment with Dr. Harrison, I got to see the EASTER BUNNY!!! He was so nice to me! I was there right when he got back from his "carrot break." We had to sit on the bench for mommy to change my clothes before getting to meet him. That was okay because I got to watch another little boy sit with him. His name was Avery and he was one month younger than me. When he smiled for a picture, everyone clapped. I took note of that and made sure to smile really big!!! Here I am before changing clothes.

Mommy was playing with me on the bench and I laughed really hard. Daddy caught me smiling big in a couple of pictures.

Here I am watching Avery and the Easter Bunny. See, I am paying very close attention to what is going on!!!

And, here it is...

Me and Mr. Easter Bunny! As you can see, I was quite smitten with him. If I'm not mistaken, I believe he will be delivering a basket to my house next week. I'll let you know what kind of impression I made on him by judging that basket!!!

Target & Olive Garden

Before heading home today, I got to go to Target! (Kevin, if I lived in North Carolina, we could go together!!!) It was the first time I got to use my shopping cart cover from the Rutherfords. (That is my aunt Emily's mom and dad!) I used to have to sit in the carrier/car seat but I am a big boy now. The first thing we saw when we walked in were these lamb ears. The tag said there were for 3 years and above. Apparently, my extra large head allows them to fit me!

By the time we got to Target, I was SO tired. It had been a VERY LONG day. I was so good though! Do you know that I never cried once today? I have been up since 6:30 a.m. and off my normal schedule and was still such a good boy. I sat in my highchair at both restaurants and played without crying or whining at all. Mommy and daddy said I am a keeper!! (Yeah, like that was ever in question!!!)

I got to try my first breadstick at Olive Garden tonight. All I can say is YUUUMMMMYYY!! I only got a little taste of it but it was good. I do plan on having another one those sometime in the near future.

At the gym with my dad

Daddy called Mommy this afternoon to say he was in the gym at the church waiting on people to come pick up their fundraiser cookie dough. He was all alone and bored. So, mommy loaded me up and we went up there to see him. Mrs. Cheryl Probst came in after we did. She felt sorry for me because I didn't have any toys to play with. So, she went and got a walker out of the nursery. Do you know how many places I can go in that thing? It was so fun. Mommy and daddy rolled (more like pushed) me back and forth between them. Then, Bro. Joshua came over and played with me too. I wasn't very interested in him because I was eating french fries from Sonic. I've never had them before but they were good!!! Then, my daddy found a few really big balls for me to play with. I loved those things.

Daddy had the gym really cold because of all the cookie dough in there. After a little while, I was chilly so mommy took me outside. When we walked out of the gym, there was a big pile of boxes and bubble wrap. Guess what? I got to play in the bubble wrap!!! I rolled all over the place making it pop. I thought it was so funny!! I wish I had some of that to play with at home.

P.S. My consultation appointment is tomorrow (Thursday) instead of Monday. So, I'll let you know how that goes tomorrow night!!

My 8 month birthday

I am 8 months old today. WOW! Daddy sang happy birthday to me when he got home from work. Then, we watched his bulldogs get beat in the FINAL seconds of their ballgame. I drank out of my MSU sippy cup in hopes of helping them but it just wasn't enough!! I felt bad for my daddy because they lost but I still had fun watching the game while sitting in his lap with Max.

What is REDIRECTION???

See that picture of me? Sad, isn't it? Well, let me tell you a little story. My parents have been trying to teach me what "NO" means. Yeah, I know...YUCK! Well, just to tempt me, they keep silly baskets next to daddy's chair and mommy's couch. They put things in those baskets that I am not supposed to play with. Now, let me interject something obvious. If I am not supposed to play with the baskets then why are they on the floor? The floor is my territory!!! Anyway, back to the baskets. Tonight, I kept reaching for the basket by my mommy's chair. She kept saying NO. This happened numerous times. Then, I reached one more time and she said NO very loud. It hurt my feelings. So, they decided to "redirect" me. Apparently, redirection has something to do with giving me something to divert my attention away from what I wasn't supposed to be playing with. I guess it is okay because I got to play with a fun pop-up toy. But, mark my words...that basket is mine!!!!

Bunny Pictures!!!

Here they are!!! Mrs. Jami Ainsworth brought mommy the disk to church this morning. I thought you'd like to see the pictures she took of me and Caroline. It is too late for you to get Bunny pictures made, but you can call Mrs. Jami for a regular session. Email my mommy for her information. Oh, and tell her I sent you...she thinks I'm cute so that may get you some brownie points!!! ;-)
